I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing the seller is confused and those are likely Sparkomatics, AKA Altec Lansing Technologies out of Milford, PA.

They aren't Altec at all AFAIK.The closest thing they resmeble are the bias 550's that were self powered.And weighed like 550 Lbs. each IIRC.

Bias 550's missing the electronics by the looks. Probably 900lbs of hooey.

Generally, in the world of audio i couldn't care less about reviews, to me the only meaningful review of any gear is my own.

But, with that said i find this to be a review that while very entertaining, is also very enlightening with regard to the engineering and QC that was(read was NOT) employed by those in control of the New Milford, PA facility.

This reviewer was more generous and kind than he should have been, IMHO&E. It will also shed light on the BS spewed by the seller regarding the quantity made which was well into the hundreds.
